SnO<sub>2</sub> Doping Effect on the Microstructural and Electrical Behavior of ZnO nanoparticles-Bi<sub>2</sub>O<sub>3</sub> Based Varistor Ceramics

In the current study, ZnO-Bi 2 O 3 varistors manufactured from ZnO nanoparticle size and doped with SnO were processed by ceramic industrial technique. The impact of various concentration upon sintering, microstructural improvement nonlinearity characteristic varistor system was investigated. Different found to possess considerable influences on varistors, particularly improving grains growth at a lower amount. But, adding greater contents leads inhibit grain via raising percentage Zn 4 type spinel phase. discs Sn/Bi less than 1.5 mol%, pyrochlore phase forms bounds all , whereas excess Bi formation liquid 740 °C which promotes sintering process. For more is bounded in Sn 7 process prevented. X-ray diffraction investigated that additive sample caused structure during step. furthermore noticeably affected electrical behaviors significant rise breakdown voltage increasing doping mol%. resistivity also achieved an obvious increase contents. Moderate enhanced nonlinear properties system, while amount causing its deterioration.
